Builds are available for Linux, macOS and Windows, and it is claimed to work well on all three. In my case, I spent three days solid trying to launch an Ubuntu instance and nearly gave up in frustration. But I found a simple problem, with a simple solution, and along the way learned about Hyper-V, WSL2, and other deep stuff about Windows.
